“It’s Breast Cancer” is what about 1 in every 7 women will hear each month. Hearing such devastating news, for any woman around the world feels like the world just stopped spinning and a feeling no one can understand. At MAGIC, we made it our mission to raise awareness of breast cancer by supporting the Pink Ribbon Initiative which is an international organization that uses their platform to spread awareness about breast cancer and information on how to help and or donate.
Ever since 2019, MAGIC helps spreading awareness of breast cancer and by doing so, we are donating 1 Euro per sold Comfort Bra or Comfort Boyshort as part of the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign. With the donated money, Pink Ribbons finances survivors and helps them when it comes to treatment or aftercare. Furthermore, the money is also used to research the cause of Breast Cancer and how it can be healed in a quicker and less harmful way.
Our MAGIC Comfort Bra is not medically tested to be worn before, during or after having Breast Cancer, but we have had very good resonance about it and it did help people that did go through such a hardship in their life. The Comfort Bra is very comfortable due to its soft, seamless and wireless design which helps when having any painful scars or other inflammations due to the therapy that one goes through.
Our Comfort Bra can also be worn as a set together with our MAGIC Comfort Boyshort which will then create a color matching set. The Comfort Boyshort has been designed to contour the bottom and lower back that will provide comfort all day long. The Comfort Boyshort is made out of the same soft and seamless design that brings comfort just as the Bra.
Before the blog ends, we wanted to share some tips so you can do an at home breast “exam”! However, please bear in mind that that self-check is not a substitute for going to the doctor regularly for a check-up.
It is important to check for any irregularities every month. Just pick a date out of any month and remind yourself to do this at home breast exam once every month!
Examine the entire breast and armpit area gently by using the pads of your fingertips and go from top to bottom on your breast area as well as doing circular motions around the breast and the nipple area.
Check in the mirror for any visual lumps, skin or texture changes. Don’t forget to look closely at your nipple too. Make sure there are no changes in shape or any abnormal discharges.
